Etched Mangopare Sculpture
This sculpture was a custom order for a corporate client who was retiring from their position.
Their collegues wanted a taonga to represent the hard work and resilience of this person.
The Mangopare design, which is based on the shape of a hammerhead shark, was chosen to represent leadership, courage and strength.
Koru were also incorporated into the sculpture to represent the new beginnings associated with retirement.
Natuarl edges of the stone were kept to allow this piece to sit inside a NZ Jade base
Handcarved from New Zealand Pounamu, this taonga will serve as a reminder of hard work, perserverance and, the fruits of those efforts.
